| i'm 19 and disney channel still excites me =)
if you guys aren't up to date...camp rock is the newest disney channel original movie that's supposed to be the next high school musical. it features the jonas brothers and newcomer demi lovato who's supposed to be the next miley cyrus.
now i have to say hsm > camp rock and the movie was just alright...but there were some moments i LOVED: -all the scenes with mitchie (demi) and shane gray (joe jonas) -allyson stoner is super cool and she has short moments that showcase her hip hop dancing -mitchie's solo on the piano, "this is me" -jonas brothers performing at beach jam "play my music" -joe jonas singing guitar solo to mitchie "gotta find you" -final jam session: their duet!!!! they combine their songs!!! how genius!!! =D it sounds amazing. their chemistry is off the charts and AHHH ITS SO HOTTTT when they're just singing to each other. and the beauty of disney is that they dont even need to kiss and its hot. sooo hot. especially the end when they finish the song and then they're just clasping hands AHHHH i DIED. -and of course...the finale "we rock" reminded me of high school musical with lots of ppl dancing and singing
this movie has officially made me fall in love with the jonas brothers. they are sooooo cute and pretty entertaining performers :)
the few songs that i love and those scenes are enough to make me obsess =D YAY CAMP ROCK!!!

| the skyline in new york is beautiful, i can see it right through my window here in jason's apartment
this whole new york experience has God written all over it jennifer just started her job at metacafe feb of this year both of my cousins were living in new york and bc jason traveled i had a room to stay in chelsea is staying in this apt until the end of july, not much longer after i leave, otherwise i'd be leaving with one other guy (awkward) i get a chance to get closer with my cousins, something that's been lacking over the years i got this internship even tho they've never had interns before its in a field thats new and changing and interesting, fascinating even i'm learning so much through it, already i pay attention differently to ads, i know more of what websites are doing and even in magazines i can already imagine the conversations going on between advertisers and the publisher the internship turned out to be more about entertainment than i expected, my coworkers have worked for mtv, fox, nbc, etc my apt happened to be 5 blocks from the office so i dont need to spend any extra money on trasnportation i can go home for lunch and save money on that as well i'm right in the city which is near all the broadway shows, meaning its easy for me to just run over and rush tix i have friends that are coming in and out of ny, that make things fun and interesting i'm able to come home right before melissa's bday and spend some time at home just like i wanted (to get a real break experience) i'm getting to explore a new city and the experience of living in it just like i wanted (and LOVING IT) the opportunity to get away from my life and get away from myself? even? i don't know if this is a good thing, but this is necessary once in awhile rite? and i get to go to tim keller's church on sundays
God is written all over that. There's no way that I could have put all those opportunities, events, coincidences together to form an experience that is bordering on perfection. God was in it through it all, just looking at that list, the amount of good things that just poured out of me just now. that's how i want everything in my life to be, God written all over it. maybe this all could be substituted with an explanation of this being just a long string of REALLY good events in life....maybe...cuz that happens sometimes...but it's a bit too good to be true. but it can never be too good, cuz God is good =) i guess there's still some skepticism in me.

| thursday: me and melissa at safeway's reopening buying supplies for a cake i'm about to make for the first time. my moms on the phone looking at the recipe telling me what to get from the store
mom: chocolate waffles me: do they make chocolate waffles? melissa: there's chocolate chip waffles...(frozen eggo kind) mom: yeah that should be okay
so i purchase chocolate chip waffles for a cake i'm about to make...
i finally get home, put all my stuff down, and get ready to start baking. i look at the recipe book and see:
chocolate wafers
me: mom, you pronounced wafers wrong...
and that is how i came about to make a waffle cake :)

some highlights for me:
teri hatcher & carrie underwood switch places the intro was pretty cute and teri's not a bad singer, but the best part is the BAND FROM TV. greg grunberg from heroes on drums, jesse spencer on violin (stupid talented ppl) and jamie denton on guitar. =D
